New Meals on Wheels Program Manager
In December 2015, Juan joined SCC as the new Program Manager for Meals on Wheels. According to Juan, getting up to speed with the program has been like “jumping on a moving train.” There are “so many moving parts and pieces” to keep track of to ensure 181 meals are packaged, out the door and delivered Monday through Friday. Juan has been very impressed with the dedication and efficiency of the MOW volunteers. They keep everything going.
The MOW waiting list has been completely updated by two volunteers —by phone and in-home assessments. Starting at 150 waiting clients, the list has been reduced by 1/3.
Juan has been able to get out of the office and deliver meals on several occasions. He is glad to meet the clients that he and his staff are happy to serve.
